What is the "creep from the deep"? Chapter 1-30

I just started reading Goosebumps's Creep from the Deep and I am wondering what the creep will be. A monster? What I've learned so far is about a 12-year old boy with gills...so is he the monster?

More to come...

After Ch. 1, the boy who I thought was the monster actually turned out to be a monster fighter in the sea. The boy's name is Billy and in this chapter, he goes underwater to fight the worst monster of them all: The Albino Electric Eel. He put the eel in distress and received 2000 volts of electricity, but it didn't even phase him. He has super powers, I think. While he was fighting the eel, he heard someone calling for help, so he stopped fighting the eel and went to help the person.

After Ch. 2 this is what happened.  At the beginning of this chapter Billy bobs up to the surface of the water. Then I  found a new character. He was a scientist and Billy's uncle named Dr.D. At the endof the chapter Billy learns a little something about what is called a fishing spear.

After Ch. 3, I also found a new character. It was Billy's little sister Sheena. Sheena is a ten year old. More to come...

A Wolf

One day I was walking in the woods at night. I heard a wolf; it was frightening. I got so scared my teeth were chattering. I was so frightened! My teeth chattering sounded as moraccas in music from Mexico. When I got home I went in my room and went to sleep. My dreams were not dreams; they were nightmares.

One of them was spiders. Another one was monsters. Another one was wolves.

I got up in the middle of the night. I stayed up the rest of the night, so I would not have any more nightmares. I did not wake my parents.

In the morning, my dad came to wake me up but when he got in my room, he saw that I was not in my bed.

Veterans, We Salute You!

November 9, 2006

Dear Grampy,

Thank you for fighting for our country. You are the best. I am so, so happy that you are still living. If you weren't living, I would be so very sad. I would not have a grandpa if you were not living. Happy Birthday! I love your hugs, when you take me to get new toys, and call me 'Pilgrim.' I love you, Grampy.

A Boy that Gets Lost

By Carter
Feb. 28th

One summer, a boy goes for a long walk in the woods without a parent. He paced a lunch before he went on his walk. He walks for a long time; his parents think that he left forever but he did not.

He slept with the bears, walked with the wolves, and ate with the squirrels. He slept on leaves, sat on leaves, and ate acorns. When it was blistering hot outside, he was drinking out of the streams. It was a long trip. He walked under the icy waterfalls. When you touch the water, it feels like ice because it is so cold. When he drinks the water, it freezes his teeth.

I haven't read my book for a little while because I turned 7 and my cousin, Grampy & Grammy came to visit! We had so much fun! We went to the pool and played soccer. I then went to SD for a week with them. We went to Chuckie Cheese with Aunt Melanie and the indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool was my favorite because the slide is SO
fast! I also made a HUGE splash from my canon ball.

I am back from SD and miss them already. Posted by Picasa

Silly Faces!

Silly faces are funny. I think mine is funny, but Reid's mad face is funny, too. Posted by Picasa

ARRRRGGH, Mateys!

Peter and I were trying to be tough pirates, but they were just crackin' up. They couldn't help it! Posted by Picasa

My Buddies at Pirates Cove

Here we are: Carter (me), Reid, and Dixon splashin' and having fun in the pool. I was trying to put a No. 2 behind Reid's head. Posted by Picasa

Chapter 4

Barry's team lost 6 to 5. As they were walking away, Susan, his sister, said "You're a big cheater" to Barry.

Barry asked his sister why she thought that and she said that he always cheats when he wants to win (like when they play board games).

Barry asked her, "What's wrong with wanting to win?"

She explained that it's not fun to win when you cheat.

Later at dinner, Barry's dad asked him how the game went, and Barry told his dad that he got 2 singles and a walk and caught a fly ball. His dad was really proud of him. Barry looked over and saw his sister quietly eating her food, not looking at him (because she knew the truth). Barry felt so badly that he finally told him that he dropped the ball. I think he felt better once he told the truth. I did that once and felt much better after I told my mom the truth.

I wonder if Barry will keep cheating. I think that his dad was disappointed. I wonder if he will ever be the hit-away kid again?

Chapter 3

Barry was out. I thought he was going to be safe, but when he got down on the dirt, the catcher had the ball and was covering the base "like an umbrella" (Christopher). The umpire said, "Out!"

Barry's coach got really mad because he told Barry not to run, but Barry ran to home plate. Barry felt very sad I bet; he was walking slow with his head down so that's what it seemed to me.

Barry had to sit out this inning because the coach said he couldn't play because he didn't listen to the coach. I think that was a good idea. If he listened, he would still be in the game.

The game soon ended and another pitcher on a different team said to Barry that the next time they play them, he wanted to strike Barry out. Will he strike him out? I don't think so because he's the "hit-away kid!"

Chapter 2

After Barry saw his brother and sister on the sideline, he told his sister to shut her mouth because he knew she would tell other people that he dropped the ball. I think that that was a bad idea.

Barry's team started batting and the score was 5 to 6 with the Mudders (Barry's team) having the 5. They needed a run to have the runs tied. Barry got a hit. He made it to third and Monk was up to bat. Monk hit it past first, then Barry started to run to home plate. But, the ball was close to first, so it was close. I think he made it to home because it seemed like he was past half-way to home, even if they did get Monk out.

I wonder if he actually does make it safely.
